Ancient Rome: Constantine I (307-337 A.D) Bronze Follis
Constantine I, also known as Constantine the Great, was a Roman emperor from AD 306 to 337 and the first Roman emperor to convert to Christianity.
The obverse shows the bust of the emperor while the reverse shows an altar inscribed VOTIS XX, with a globe and three stars above with letters "STR" in exergue indicating it was minted in Trier, Germany. Our previous coin was also minted at Trier but the mint mark "PTR" is different (the same mints used different mint marks over periods).
The pictures at the bottom were taken before the coin was certified and slabbed by Sangs.
