Antique Royal Staffordshire Pottery Jenny Lind 1795 Castle Scene Tea Set - 9 Pieces

This 9-piece Royal Staffordshire Pottery Jenny Lind 1795 Castle Scene Tea Set is a antique gem, embodying the timeless charm of yesteryears.

GUARANTEED free from repair, this set bears the marks of its history with evident crazing, discoloration, and age-related stains, while maintaining its integrity with no chips.

Ideal for serious collectors, we do not recommend this set for use due to its age and vintage condition. Please refer to the listing photos for a detailed view of its front and back condition.

The TRANSFERWARE PATTERN "JENNY LIND" pays homage to the renowned Swedish opera singer, known as the "Swedish Nightingale," born in 1821.

Crafted by A. J. Wilkinson at Royal Staffordshire Pottery, this set dates back to the early 1900s, following the closure of the Old Hall Works in 1902.

The set includes:

2 Teacups: L:11cm, W:9.4cm, H:6cm, Weight: 120g + 107g

1 Teapot with Lid: L:23cm, W:14.8cm, H:14.5cm, Weight: 627g

3 Saucers (Bowl-shaped): L:14.8cm, H:2cm, Weight: 129g, 134g, 131g

2 Tea Plates/Small Rimmed Side Plates: Diameter: 16.5cm, Weight: 171g and 160g

All pieces feature a brown transferware pattern hand-decorated with green, maroon, and yellow accents.

Kiln markings, known as "potter's marks" or "potter's seals," authenticate their heritage.

Clear "back stamps" on all pieces date back to the early 1900s, adding to their historical significance.
