Exquisitely detailed model of the Aston Martin DBR1 driven by Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby to victory in the 1959 Le Mans against formidable Ferrari competition. Another BDR1 also finished second in an epic performance.
Aston Martin also won the World Sportscar Championship in that year. A stunning performance in a beautiful car.
Shelby was an exceptional driver and engineer and went onto lasting fame as the developer of the Ford GT40 which won Le Mans 4 times in the late 1960s.
The model has opening bonnet; doors and boot with interior detailing and engine.
A truly classic Le Mans car for all model collectors.
In mint condition and supplied in the original box also very good condition. From a private model collection.
