Hardcover second impression published September 1959 by Jonathan Cape. The paper jacket is whole, with some wear and sunning to extremities, and short tears and chips to the edges (a short internal tear along the spine), and pencil figures on the front flap. The blue cloth boards with gilt titling are clean and square, with bumps to corners and light shelf wear to edges. The front pictorial end-papers contain further pencil figures, but the blue top-stained pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
