American Walnut Bedroom suite from the 1940's: 2 & 3 door armoire/ wardrobes, vanity dresser with stool, bed stand with head & foot boards, mattress & bedside cupboard. This suite is French Polished, there may be some sections veneered.
NB: The mattress is not from the same period as the Bedroom Suite & the vanity stool seat has been recovered, the cupboard handle of the vanity dresser's cupboard side is not the original handle and thus is not the same as the rest of the suite. The rest is in its original condition when manufactured, even the glass tops. The 3 door wardrobe/armoire can be split into two. It was constructed so as to allow it to be moved as it is very long and difficult to get around corners. The wardrobes stand on bases. All three mirrors are in excellent condition. This is a very well preserved suite, well cared for and the unique design affords lots of packing space. All the wood is solid with no signs of moisture damage or worm infestation.
Note the deep drawer at the bottom & the full size mirror on the double door hanging area.

Inside the gents armoire is a shoe rack (bars) on the hanging side.
This side of the 2 door gents armoire (wardrobe) has a rack for hanging pants, just below the 2 draws.
Dressing table: Dimensions: 134 cm L x 48 cm D excluding the mirror which protrudes on the back of the dresser by 3,5 cm. The mirror diameter is 76 cm. The 3 drawer side is 78,5 cm H and is covered with thick glass. The middle section also covered with thick glass is 42 cm D, the cupboard is 41 cm D X 64,5 cm H and this section has no glass on top. The cupboard section of the vanity dresser has no glass top.

The headboard & foot board are attached to the base, dimensions of headboard 137 cm L X 89 cm H & the foot board is 137 cm L X 69 cm H. NB: Foot board colour is somewhat faded as shown in photo.
Mattress measurement is a standard double bed 137 cm X 190 cm, 5 star rating and is in excellent condition.
Bedside cupboard, no glass top. There are two marks on the inside shelves, might have been from a spill or scuffed from use.
Dimensions: 39 cm W x 41 cm D x 69 cm H + 4 cm back edging.
All the backs of the units are made with solid wood.
