The combo includes the bold Nidus with its glossy, spoon-shaped fronds, the rippled and more upright Antiquum, and the beautiful frilly-edged Osaka. Each one brings its own texture and charm and they're surprisingly easy to look after.
Because they all enjoy similar conditions, they'll thrive together in the same space. Use them to fill shady corners or group them in a bathroom for a leafy, jungle vibe. These ferns are also non-toxic, making them a pet-friendly pick.
Light Requirements:
Place your ferns in medium to bright, indirect light. While they can handle a bit of lower light, harsh direct sun can scorch their fronds.
💧 Watering:
Keep the soil lightly moist by watering when the top 23cm feels dry. Avoid pouring water into the centre of the plant, as this can lead to crown rot.
🌱 Soil & Repotting:
For optimal drainage and healthy roots, you can use our premixed Aroid Mix, or you can create your own potting mix using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil combined with Perlite. When repotting, add a layer of Bark Chips to help retain humidity and keep the surface looking neat.
🌡 Temperature & Humidity:
Temperatures between 1826°C are ideal. These ferns absolutely love humidity, so mist them often or place near a humidifier or pebble tray.
🌿 Feeding:
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a Controlled Release Fertiliser and an organic fertiliser for steady growth.
🐛 Pests & Problems:
Watch for mealybugs and scale insects. A light insecticidal spray and a gentle wipe will usually sort them out.
