Bronze Plaque of President Paul Kruger : Last Message from the President
Similar to Hern number 436 (Medallions of the ZAR and the Anglo Boer War). Hern states that the metal could be lead but it looks bronze to me?
The plaque measures approx. 25.5 cm from its extreme bottom left to the back of the President’s head on top. It is mounted on a wooden display piece with a chain at the back for hanging against a wall. There is a crack in the wood, but the plaque itself is in perfect condition.
The whole item weighs 3.2 kilogram. There is a remainder at the back of an old and yellowed typed letter (Die President se Laaste Boodskap)
