Abbie, early-twenties, brings her significantly older boyfriend Ryan to Cornwall to meet her parents, Ed and Claire, and grandmother, Phyllis.
Claire and Phyllis are completely taken with him and are happy for Abbie's new romance. But Ed instinctively feels there's something wrong with Ryan. Ed is certain Ryan is lying to them about who he is.
