COLLECTION OF 1978 TREE COMMUNICATIONS PLANT and GARDENING CARDS

On offer is this collection of 1978 Tree Communications cards dealing with all things to do with plants and gardening.

There are 715 cards in the collection, dealing with the following topics:

African Violets, Begonia, Bulbs, Cacti & Succulents, Children, Container gardening, Exotic houseplants, Ferns, Flowering houseplants, Foliage houseplants, food gardening, garden flowers, gardening techniques, gardening under light, hanging & vining houseplants, herbs, landscaping and special gardens, lawn and ground covers, roses, shrubs, terraniums, trees indoors, trees outdoors, and water gardening.

Each section has an index card displaying a summary of the contents of the other cards in that section

The individual cards in each section indicate on the front the growing requirements, and with detailed information on the reverse, including pronunciation, e.g. ACHIMENES ak-KIM-in-eze. Information includes other common names (if any), size, light, water, humidity, temperature, fertilizer, propogation, repotting, pests, growability, and then a Gardener's note. Each card also shows the name of the photographer.

There are also tips and recipes in categories like herbs and food gardening, as well as projects that can be undertaken, in the gardening under light and other categories.

This is a very comprehensive collection, dealing with just about everything you need and want to know about plants and gardening.

The container is of hard plastic.  The lid of the container is not attached to the bottom. However, I would find a new container for this collection as it is quite full - everything is packed in tight.
