Text is otherwise fully complete and commences with an epistola, with decorations at top and around first letter, followed by an index, then a similarly decorated first page of the first book, which is 176 pages long, followed by the second book with decoration at top of title, which takes us to page 532. This is followed by various indexes including a legal and Greek index. The third book bound in has the original decorated title page ( Desiderii Heraldii Observationum & emendationum liber) followed by the details of the publisher and the date. Some leaves at the rear of the book have light stains at the bottom corner and very minor damage but overall the condition is very good indeed and the binding is tight. Didier Herauld was in eminent jurist and scholar in 17th century France. This first edition was the only one for sale on the internet at the time of listing. There are very few copies of these works in this first edition in private hands, and only one library has it worldwide, being in Lausanne Switzerland.
