Emporia's 3rd Generation Vue energy management hub and monitor is designed to automate, control, and manage connected Emporia devices and third-party appliances to optimize performance and reduce electric bills.
It includes features such as real-time energy monitoring, appliance monitoring, intelligent load management, and compatibility with 3-phase electrical systems.
The Vue Energy Monitor is equipped with sensors for service mains and individual circuits, allowing for comprehensive energy tracking and management.
Features
Ready for 3-phase electrical systems: Includes an extra 200A sensor for light commercial 3-phase/4-wire electrical systems (up to 415Y/240VAC & less than 600A). Does not work with 3-phase/3-wire systems.
Installs in circuit panel: Compatible with most homes' circuit panels using clamp-on sensors, with exceptions for panels with access only to busbars.
24/7 energy management and monitoring: Allows for automation, management, and control of home's real power to prevent costly repairs, conserve energy, and save costs. Includes monitoring of solar/net metering.
Lower electric bill: Configure settings in the Emporia Energy App for time of use, peak demand, excess solar, and rewards programs. Provides live reporting, savings opportunities, real-time spending gauge, actionable notifications, and automated energy management.
Real-time energy data: Requires 2.4 GHz WIFI with an internet connection to monitor energy use via iPhone/Android/Web app. Vue sensors collect energy data with ±2% accuracy. UL and CE Listed for safety. Data retention: 1 second data is available in the app (when actively open) for 3 hours, minute and hour data are retained in the cloud.
Appliance monitoring: Comes with eight branch (50A) sensors (expandable with up to eight more, sold separately) to monitor critical loads such as air conditioners, furnaces, water heaters, washers, dryers, ranges, etc.
Intelligent load management: Dynamically adjusts EV charge rate to prevent exceeding electrical panel's service rating while keeping energy consumption within system limits, avoiding the need for expensive electrical service upgrades.
