Excellent wine has been produced in South Africa since the arrival of the French Huguenots 300 years ago. The current worldwide trend towards fruity, accessible wines has allowed South Africa to pioneer the introduction of new wine styles. Long Mountain wines are the prime example of this drive for excellence.
The Long Mountain Wine Company takes it's name from the dramatic Langeberg (Long Mountain) range, which extends for over 200 kilometers along the edge of the Breede River Valley in the Western Cape region of South Africa.

Here the mountain range channels the cool easterly sea breezes down the Tradoux Valley and the grape growing regions of Robertson and Worcester. Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon ripen gently under these perfect conditions. The cool Ceres region to the north west of the Langeberg is ideal for growing Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Pinotage and Merlot.

Long Mountain wines are blended using wine from these regions, resulting in wines with greater complexity, elegant fruit characters and generous full flavours. Numerous international awards reflect the quality of the Long Mountain range, deserved tributes to one of the fastest growing New World wines in Europe.
