A very good hardcover book with a very good dustjacket.
Original red covered boards.
Binding is tight and strong.
Retailer's label to front pastedown. No names or inscriptions.
Dustjacket is not clipped, now in loose protective plastic overwrap.
Pages xv + 213 including index and with fifteen monochrome illustrations.
Dr Taylor's biography spans his term as a medical officer in the Leribe district from 1877 to 1883, and his life in private practice in Ficksburg in the Orange Free State in South Africa until 1906. He worked for both sides during the Anglo-Boer War as Ficksburg changed hands many times.
