Padparadscha is a pinkish-orange color sapphire that is reminiscent of a lotus blossom. Rare in nature, this gem is valued for its attractive color.
The key with a good padparadscha sapphire is getting the right color or hue, coupled with the right tone. The hue should be a uniform blend of pink and orange, so that you cannot see where one color ends and the other begins.
