This map dates from just five years after the Amritsar Massacre, which called into serious question the moral authority of British rule in India. India was still the 'Jewel in the Crown', but already the writing was on the wall. Men like Gandhi were making waves and in a little over two decades, India would obtain its independence.

Central fold, very light marginal foxing. Very good condition.

Large map, measuring 45 x 36 cm, including narrow margins.
