Metalrite Anti-Rust Primer Grey MR100

Metalrite Anti-Rust Primer MR100 (metal protection) is a
high-performance, anti-rust, water based metal etch primer.
It's formulated with anti-corrosive zinc phosphate pigments
that prevents the development of rust. Suitable for use on new
and rusted metal surfaces.

Intended Uses:

• Universal - can be used to prime a variety of metal
  surfaces e.g. new or weathered mild steel, galvanized iron,
  Chromadek, Aluzinc and IBR.
• Superior anti-rust coating for new or rusted metal.
• Suitable for domestic, industrial and automotive
  application, for the priming of gates and palisade fencing,
  balustrades, gutters, steel, industrial steel framing, farm
  implements, tanks, corrugated roofs, window and door
  frames.

Surface Preparation:

Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly clean, sound, dry and free
from contamination such as dirt, mill scale, salt, algae, grease
and loose or excess rust.

New Metal
Abrade surface lightly and remove any surface rust or mill
scale by sanding or wire brushing. Clean away grease, dirt and
sanding dust with a good degreaser. Rinse thoroughly with
water until a water-break-free surface is attained and allow to
dry.

Weathered Metal
Remove all loose, flaking paint and rust by wire brushing,
chipping or sanding to expose the metal surface. Remove
excess rust with METALRITE RUST REMOVER. Clean away
grease, dirt and dust with good degreaser. Rinse thoroughly
with water until a water-break-free surface is attained and
allow to dry.
