Worm farm

This three tier worm farm is ideal if you are living in town and you do not have a lot of space to create your own compost pile. Simply keep moist and fill with your kitchen scraps, grass cuttings, cardboard boxes and non-glossy paper and turn it into compost for your garden. 

Worm farm can be with Red Wrigglers or African Night Crawlers so please let me know which you would prefer. Personally, the African night crawlers are faster in composting but if you are doing it so you can have your favourite red wrigglers for fishing that is also effective. The worms move up as they compost your waste so you will harvest the castings from the bottom tier and then place it on top with fresh kitchen scraps and green material once used. It is important to add woodash or crushed egg shells to neutralize acidity in your worm farm.  

To make your own worm tea, simply steep the castings in non-chlorinated water and water your plants to feed them with an abundance of micro nutrients. 

1 x 3 tier worm farm 

1 x 50 Red Wrigglers or 50 African night crawlers 

1 x Packet of crushed egg shells.
