This XL Monstera Deliciosa is already a statement plant 🌿. With its large glossy leaves developing those famous splits and holes, it adds instant tropical drama to any room. Grown in a 23cm pot, these plants are big, bold, and ready to transform your space.
Botanical name: Monstera deliciosa XL
Commonly known as: Swiss Cheese Plant, Monstera, Delicious Monster
The Monstera Deliciosa XL is one of the most sought-after indoor plants for good reason. With broad, glossy leaves that naturally split as they mature, it creates that unmistakable tropical look. These specimens are already well established in 23cm pots, giving you a lush, impressive plant from the start.
Light:
Monsteras thrive in bright, indirect light. They can handle medium light, though the iconic splits and holes may be less pronounced. Keep them away from harsh direct sun which can scorch the leaves.
💧 Watering:
Water when the top 45cm of soil feels dry. These plants like consistent moisture but will quickly suffer if left standing in soggy soil. In winter, reduce watering slightly.
🌡 Temperature & Humidity:
Best in warm conditions between 1828°C. While they adapt to average home humidity, occasional misting will encourage healthy, glossy leaves.
🪴 Soil & Repotting:
For strong roots and steady growth, use our Aroid Mix or make your own with Barks Unlimited Potting Soil and Perlite. When repotting, add Bark Chips to keep the soil light and airy. Repot every 12 years as Monsteras are quick growers.
🍃 Fertiliser:
Feed every 46 weeks during spring and summer with Controlled Release Fertiliser or boost with Organic Fertiliser. Regular feeding ensures big, healthy leaves.
🐛 Pests:
Generally hardy but can attract mealybugs or spider mites. Wipe leaves clean and use insecticidal spray if pests appear.
With their bold foliage and rapid growth, XL Monsteras in 23cm pots are perfect for creating a lush, tropical centrepiece indoors.
