Light Requirements:
Bright, indirect light is ideal. It can handle some morning sun, but strong afternoon rays may scorch the leaves. Lower light slows growth and reduces fenestration.
💧 Watering:
Water thoroughly when the top 45 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in water. In winter, let the soil dry out a little more between waterings.
🌱 Potting Mix:
For optimal drainage and healthy roots, you can use our premixed Aroid Mix, or create your own using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil blended with Perlite.
🪴 Repotting:
Repot every 12 years or when roots are circling the pot. Use a sturdy container to support its size and stake with a moss pole for upward growth. Add Bark Chips to improve aeration.
🌿 Feeding:
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a controlled release fertiliser or organic fertiliser to support healthy leaf development.
🐛 Pests & Problems:
Generally hardy, but keep an eye out for scale, mealybugs or spider mites. Wipe leaves regularly and treat with insecticidal spray if needed.
🌡 General Care Tips:
Prefers temperatures between 1828°C and enjoys moderate humidity. Mist occasionally or group with other plants to increase humidity. Rotate the plant every few weeks for even growth and leaf development.
