Rare brass and copper brazier

A rare vintage brass and copper brazier.  This large bowl was used to roast chestnuts.  It could also be used as a skillet for frying or roasting.  Another use of these bowls was as a coal dish to heat rooms, using charcoal. It was used in many European countries, like Britain, Spain and Germany in the early 1900's.  Size: diameter of 41 cm; height of 8,5 cm.  Weight: 2,6 kg.  Very rare in South Africa.
