Sterling Silver, Amber and Marcasite Locket Pendant on Chain

The modern, sterling silver locket pendant has a pierced, hinged front, a small fixed ring, and hinged oval bale. The front of the pendant is set with an oval, cabochon polished amber (5.9mm x 3.9mm) in a tube setting, and is marcasite studded and has fine beaded decoration. The pendant hangs from a fine curb chain. The locket and the chain are marked 925. There are London import marks and the makers mark G Ltd on the bale. Where G Ltd stands for Goldmajor Limited. The chain has a further mark rather like a three-leaf clover.
