    Silver Shipwreck coin

I was told that it was from the Merenstein shipwreck - but have no proof thereof.

I would think the coin dates to the middle 1600's.

It looks like a VOC "eagle" schelling, but I am not too sure.

The coin is worn and pitted, as with most shipwreck coins - please see photos.

The coin is 27mm in diameter. It is about 0.5mm in thickness. It weighs 3.085 grams.
