60 "photoplatino" photographs on 30 stiff card pages,  bound in faux leather, with gilt titling. Linen-hinged marbled endpapers, and all leaves linen-hinged too. All page edges gilt. No title page, as published. Introductory page contains a gift inscription in pen dated 13/12/97, and another later name in pen. The page opposite contains the most recent ownership details, an assumed relative of the second owner. Still well bound, foxing along the card perimeters of all photographs. Housed in a modern custom box. First edition, a second followed in 1898.
