The Brett Kebble Art Awards 2004

Published by Marulelo Communications

ISBN 10: 0620330201 ISBN 13: 9780620330206

Introductory essay by Virginia MacKenny Fine A lavish (and lavishly illustrated) catalogue showing the work of the finalists in the 2004 Brett Kebble Art Awards. These awards ran for only two years (2003 and 2004) ending with Kebble's murder in 2005. Kebble was one of the leading art collectors of his generation and was a strong supporter of young artists from the "New" South Africa. The Awards were a major showcase. The 2004 awards were curated by Clive van den Berg. This is a fine copy of a book of an exhibition which "can be seen as an index of the state of South African art".
