There are a number of letters and photographs inside the book, and this book was owned by A R Thomson who was a British Army Captain Duke of Connaught's Own Rajputs, and is included in the index. His signature is inside on the first page of the book and there is a photograph of him and a few letters and a two page extract from an Interim Inspection Report on the 3rd BN 7th Rajput Regiment and a November 29 1936 newspaper cutting with a story headline "Heavy Casualtis among troops in Frontier Clash Seventeen killed, 77 wounded"
