A scarce first edition hardcover published by Kefan Paul and Trench in 1883

Cover boards are just hanging in there, front cover the best,spine cloth is tatty and torn and back cover has suffered some liquid damage, front cover boards is adrift from book, binding is holding but only just, previous owners name on second page, pages have foxing, miraculously all 5 illustration plates are present, back cover stain continues inside from end page 323 back to 282 albiet all pages are legible, definitely a reading copy of a scarce title!!!
