ON AUCTION IS A SMALL VINTAGE FIELD MICROSCOPE MADE IN GERMANY.This small field microscope is circa 1950s and was used by naturalists or students when working in the field.
It has a rack and pinion focus and a screw-on eyepiece. It has 3 objective lenses which is arranged in a rarely seen manner instead of 3 separate fixed lenses they are arranged underneath each other and you manually swing them in serie to create a composite magnification (1 = 110X; 1x2 = 200X; 1x2x3 = 340X).
The rack and pinion focus works smoothly. The three lenses are clear, with no damage. The mirror is in tact and can be tilted to reflect any light source. The wood fitted case is in good condition.
