Vintage Holmegaard crooked "Glug Glug" glass decanter with stopper - made in Denmark. I would date this old decanter to the 1950s. Folklore states that the bottle was originally made by mistake. A glassblower got the hiccups, resulting in the air within the bottle being sucked in rather than blown out. This resulted in the sides collapsing in the middle, and the corners forming hollow columns. it also caused the decanter to lean to one side - this and the hollow columns make the glug glug sound when pouring a drink. This decanter stands 23cm high, and has a crown shaped stopper (stopper is often missing, possibly due to breakage after too many drinks). The decanter and stopper are in good condition - no chips or cracks, and the decanter still has its original labels on. Great buy for your bar.
