Vintage Manual Keyboard
On offer this fabulous find! A Jerome Thibouville_Lamy (French) manual keyboard in a wooden case with ivory keys. I researched this item on the internet but unfortunately did not come across anything similar. I am told that these portable instruments were used by music teachers in days gone by. The keys are similar to those of a piano. Please note - it is not working so will have to be seen to. I opened it up and from my limited knowledge of these instruments, to me it looks like all is there, but the notes do not go down to make a sound, this I would say is the problem and needs to be sorted out. It is 92cm wide, 33.5cm from front to back and 10cm tall, weighs 11.5kg(excluding packaging). The wooden casing good, one or 2 ivory keys with some minor surface wear on the edges and the key to lock the case is missing.
