Vintage Pre 1989 HH Hendlers Yellow Enamelled Metal Bread Bin In Good Condition

ON AUCTION IS A VINTAGE (PRE 1989) YELLOW ENAMELLED METAL BREAD BIN MADE BY HH HENDLERS (NOW HENDLER & HART) WHO WAS WELL KNOWN AND HIGHLY REGARDED FOR ITS LIGHT PRESSED METAL HOMEWARE IN SOUTH AFRICA DURING THE LATTER HALF OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.
 
This bread bin have holes for airflow, which keep your bread fresh because the airflow prevents too much moisture and air from getting to the bread.
 
Bread Bins were a common household kitchen item until bread started being made commercially with food preservatives. A bread box created the perfect humid environment to keep your bread at its peak for three or four days. 
 
SIZE: 17CM HIGH 24CM DEEP 42.5CM WIDE
 
CONDITION: SOME MINOR RUST SPOTS ON UNDERSIDE. ENAMEL STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. FOR A VINTAGE BREAD BIN I WOULD SAY IN VERY GOOD CONDITION STILL.
