CARDIOID IN PRACTICE
While medium and high frequencies are naturally directional, low frequencies are spherical. This often leads to an unpleasant excess of low bass on and behind the stage. An even more serious issue is that it is becoming increasingly common for event organizers to set precise specifications for sound distribution. In the bass range, this can only be achieved with cardioid technology. The 18 Linear 7 Subwoofer therefore meets all the requirements for quickly and easily implementing effective cardioid setups, both mechanically and with the available filter sets.

Until recently, only the large touring system price category made it possible to control every mid/high unit, every bass and every stage monitor centrally from the FoH position. Now, with the LINEAR 7 range, this modern and highly efficient workflow can also be achieved in top-range professional point sound sources. Every single LINEAR 7 speaker on the network can be accessed centrally via Mac or PC, and its volume, EQ, limiting, delay and polarity can be controlled in detail.
