Large Antique Copper & Brass Colander or Strainer 

This fabulous, large, very early, hand-hammered, solid copper and brass vegetable strainer or colander has a wonderful rustic look with heaps of character and would be an ideal decorative piece for the wall in a vintage farmhouse kitchen. It has a lovely, well-polished, mellow rose-gold look, with spots of the old tin plating, and was probably made in France around the early 1900's. There's also a large solid brass mount and ring under the rim for hanging up when not in use, plus there's a small, impressed makers mark on the base that I cant decipher. Other than a small split on the rim, and being well used, it's in great condition. The colander has a diameter of 43cm with a depth of 8cm and weighs 1,9kg,
