Meta Given (1888-1981) wrote this cookbook in 1947 after she had completed her first cookbook called Modern Family Cook Book (1942). Both books were used in colleges and universities as well as sold to the public. She sold these books from 1942-1972, when they went out of print. With photographs, some in colour.
