Peperomia Zorro is a neat, upright grower with glossy rippled leaves in a striking dark green. Ideal for small spaces and just about impossible to mess up this is the kind of low-maintenance foliage you'll want on every windowsill.
Commonly known as: Peperomia Zorro
Botanical name: Peperomia caperata 'Zorro'
Peperomia 'Zorro' is an eye-catching variety of the popular ripple-leaf Peperomia family. This compact grower has shiny, deeply textured leaves in rich green tones, often with a subtle metallic sheen. Its upright form makes it perfect for tight corners, desks, or narrow shelves anywhere you need a little structured greenery.
Unlike trailing peperomias, 'Zorro' stays neat and contained, growing in a small upright clump that rarely exceeds 20cm. It's especially well-suited to plant beginners or those looking for something fuss-free. Peperomias are semi-succulent, which means they don't need much water and adapt well to life in small pots. With its clean shape, handsome foliage, and low-care nature, 'Zorro' brings an elegant touch to indoor plant collections without the drama.
Light:
Bright indirect light is best to bring out the leaf texture and colour. It will tolerate lower light but may grow more slowly. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
💧 Water:
Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let any excess drain away. In cooler months, reduce watering frequency. It's better to underwater than overwater the fleshy leaves store moisture well.
🌱 Soil:
Use a light, airy mix. Try our Aroid Mix, or create your own using Barks Unlimited Potting Soil blended with Perlite. Add Bark Chips for extra structure and drainage.
🌡 Temperature:
Best kept between 1826°C. Avoid cold draughts or sudden temperature changes. Keep indoors in winter for best results.
🌸 Fertiliser:
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced organic fertiliser. Skip feeding in the dormant season.
💦 Humidity:
Normal household humidity is fine, but it will appreciate a little extra moisture in very dry conditions. No need to mist grouping with other plants is usually enough.
